In case of SRA swing clamp cylinders, the supporting force is independent of the cylinder clamping force: the complete supporting force can thus be used for vibration dampening and for compensating the tool thrust. This gives better cutting parameters and improved machining quality.
SRA swing clamp cylinders do not only replace the conventional work support/clamp cylinder combination, but allow the deformation that is usually caused by more than three clamping points to be almost completely eliminated.
