Hydraulic work supports
IRF HP support elements are used to prevent vibrations and deflections on the workpiece during machining. They are available in single- or double-acting versions, with the support force varying depending on the model. They come in different sizes and stroke lengths.
With the new 120bar work supports you can design equipment without having
to install intensifiers or pressure reducing valves.

If a workpiece is clamped on the work support, the supporting force F must be at least twice as high as the clamping force generated by the clamping cylinder. We generally recommend operating work supports with high pressures in order to ensure efficient supporting capacity.
A – Hydraulic port

C– Pneumatic catch sensor controls the workpiece contact
D – Special wiper made in polyurethane (upon request in FKM)
E – METAL WIPER integrated into the cylinder protects the internal wiper against sparkler chips and aggressive cooling lubricants. An efficient function of the wiper lip ensures perfect operation of the cylinder over time. Special wiper made in polyurethane (upon request in FKM).
